Falster stone and fossil collection gives a unique insight I what fantastic items can be found on the stony beaches of all northeast Falster coastline.

Here we exhibit the biggest collection of stones and fossils half of the local finds are from the beautiful east coast named Hesnæs Strand and in the gravel pits of the region.

On display can be seen the most significant finds of Falster,”Dromiopsis elegans” 30’000 crabs of this species has been found but never with claws as this particular specimen. Also a 450 million years old giant squid can be seen.

The thousands of Danish findings are supplemented with foreign findings.

Beside the stone and fossil collection there are changing art exhibitions with paintings and sculptures. Sometimes there are also activities with artists creating sand sculptures and it may even be possible for children and adults to engage in real sand sculpturing.

Elf Woman "Bat" - By Mai Pedersen and Niels Vagn Pedersen

Inspired by Batwoman Mai Pedersen and Niels Vagn Pedersen have made
a portrait of elf woman "Bat", who with her beauty lures men into the bog - down to the bog woman.

The elf woman has power over fertility, health and prosperity. Insulting her, she becomes furious and vicious, and may lure people down to die.

To protect oneself against malicious elf women, one can use an elf cross, which we as a precaution have included in the sculpture.

The bat symbolizes evil and the occult. Contemporary the loathing with a bat emphasizes the beauty of "Bat", the elf woman.

Sand sculpture and exhibition of rock and fossil as well as painting and sculpture exhibition by Laila and Peter Bennicke can be seen throughout the month of July every day 10-17. In August and September, Thursday-Sunday 10-17
